flow out New music video has been released!
New music video for this track where the air stands stillis an excerpt from the Portland, Oregon-based metalcore band’s upcoming debut EP. Chapter 1: Miserywill be released on a self-release later this month.
Vocalist talking about new song Arnel Pearson To tell, “where the air stands still This piece is about grieving the loss of a loved one, about making choices about how we deal with that grief when someone we hold dear to our hearts is taken from us, and when we were alive. It’s about how easily you feel betrayed this person. I lost my eldest brother when most of my siblings and I were teenagers, and it put our family in great turmoil. Especially for my sisters, who were very close to my brother. When a loved one dies, we must develop a better relationship with death in order to live on without feeling like we should have or should have done more to prevent it.
Years later, I am now a father. I wrote this song because I always wanted to do the right thing by my daughter’s side. Because my relationship with death taught me that I could lose my daughter at any moment. The song is both a reminder of how her family felt at the time and a way to tell myself to keep hugging her. I hope it will be a memorable experience for others as well. “
