Elon Musk took the world by storm when he announced that he had acquired Twitter. Now the video has sparked theories that the Tesla owner bought Spotify, but did he really?
Twitter has changed a lot since Elon Musk took over in 2022.
Although he’s never contested Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook or Instagram, many saw a video that convinced him he was trying to buy Spotify.
Did Elon Musk Buy Spotify?
No, Elon didn’t buy Spotify. Rumors started coming out about this after people came across videos claiming the same.
The clip is titled “Elon Musk JUST Bought Spotify”. The channel will be named Elon Musk Zone and will consist of a variety of videos that “transform original content from shows, podcasts and Elon Musk keynotes to give viewers a more immersive experience.”
In the past, our YouTube channel has covered several topics such as UFOs, Egyptian Pyramids, and more.
There have been similar rumors in the past
This isn’t the first time such rumors have taken the internet by storm. Almost a month before Spotify’s news, internet speculation claimed Elon had acquired his ABC and laid off its employees.
The speculation reportedly began on Facebook, where users believed Tesla’s owners canceled The View when it acquired ABC.
In fact, he made no new purchases and Twitter was his last purchase.
He talked about stepping down as Twitter’s CEO
In December 2022, Elon decided to hold a poll asking users whether they should step down as CEO of Twitter. Among them, the majority answered “yes”.
He never brought up this conversation again, but there were several people who were ready to volunteer: MrBeast and Snoop Dogg were the frontrunners for the position.
At the time, MrBeast wrote in his tweet: I have written: “Could you be the new Twitter CEO?” Elon replied, “That’s not out of the question.”
