Young K of rock band DAY6 [JYP ENTERTAINMENT]
Boy group DAY6’s Young K will release a solo song.
“DAY6’s Young K is currently preparing a solo album.
Local media reported Wednesday that Young K will release a solo album in September, five months after completing his military service in April.
Young K served as a member of the US Army’s South Korean Reinforcement Corps from October 2021 to April 2023.
Young K released multiple demo tracks in 2020, starting with “Text Me Now.” He made his official solo debut in 2021 with his first EP ‘Eternal’. All seven tracks on the EP, including the lead track “Guard You,” were written and produced by Young K.
DAY6 debuted as JYP Entertainment’s first rock band in 2015. The band currently consists of four members: guitarist/vocalist Sungjin, bassist, guitarist/vocalist Young K, keyboardist/vocalist Wonpil, and drummer/vocalist Dowoon.
