Legendary American R&B music group Boyz II Men’s Spotify streams have skyrocketed since their Kenya tour announcement.
Spotify data for Monday It showed a 416 percent increase in streams of the band’s music.
Average streams and searches also increased by 191% and 124%, respectively.
This comes just weeks after it was announced that the band would be playing in Kenya as part of an African tour with legendary Kenyan band Sauti Sol.
Boyz II Men will headline the 2nd Annual Stanbic Yetu Festival at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi on June 10th.
The inaugural event was held last year and featured award-winning American singer Anthony Hamilton alongside Kenyan musicians such as Otayl Brown and June Gachui.
The event will also feature an excellent line-up of Kenyan and international R&B artists.
During the event, Kenyan DJs such as G-Money, DJ Grauchi, DJ Forro, Dj Shaky, CNG and DJ Cream will entertain the revelers.
The four-time Grammy Award-winning trio is considered one of the most iconic R&B groups in music history.
They were a key part of the wave of boy bands that took the world by storm in the 90s.
Some of the group’s hits that Kenyans enjoy streaming include ‘I’ll Make Love To You’, ‘One Sweet Day’, ‘Water Runs Dry’ and ‘On Bended Knee’.
Boyz II Men’s international awards also include nine American Music Awards, nine Soul Train Awards, and three Billboard Awards.
