(Crystal A. Proxmire, April 2, 2023)
Berkeley, Michigan – There’s coffee and there’s “coffee that makes you sing.” It’s the kind of coffee Frank Lanzkron-Tamarao aspires to when he roasts the highest quality beans fresh for Chazzano Coffee Roasters. The former Kanter recently relocated his coffee shop from Ferndale to downtown Berkeley. There he serves customers with a smile and pleasant conversation and runs a thriving wholesale company.
Lanzkron-Tamarao has been part of the Oakland County Times since both businesses started 13 years ago. He recently sat down for his Zoom interview with The Times of Oakland, His County, and talked about his entrepreneurial successes, challenges, and advice for others looking to start their own businesses. bottom.
Frank started out as a canter, the sheer joy of roasting coffee in his own garage, and always dreamed of opening his own coffee shop, where the restaurants he and his family enjoy are more than just food. I was hoping for some good coffee.
“Having decided to start this life, I have nothing to regret,” said Landskron Tamarao.
In preparing for his business, he did a lot of reading and continually updated his business plan. And he’s still learning. As he goes along, he’s still fine-tuning that his business plan.
Today, he is proud to see Chazano coffee in many restaurants and grocery stores, including Western Market, Woodward Corners and Randazzo. His coffee ships nationwide and still does local deliveries.
Inside Chazano Coffee 2725 12 Mile Road At Berkeley, he offers 35 coffees in a variety of ways. He has french press, espresso, turkish and ice as well as coffee ice cream and coffee soda.
