“Waste Your Time”, first single and video blind stone‘s next album ‘Scars To Remember’ was released.
A heavy, Texas boogie-inspired track with a groovy breakdown and a stunning guitar solo.
“We all know them: people who talk a lot and talk surprisingly little,” guitarist and frontman Martin Jepsen Andersen said of the song. “Everything is superficial and empty. Waste of time. This song is about those people. “I don’t care if you waste your time, but you waste my time. please do not.””.
Musically, “Waste Your Time” is one of the more bluesy songs on the album Scars To Remember. You could describe it as ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughan meeting Deep Purple on a bluesy day with Jimi Hendrix on lead guitar.
“Waste Your Time” is out now in digital single and official video format.

Blindstone is proud to announce our new album, Scars To Remember. After being part of the “closed” blues scene for 20 years and being the best kept secret of the heavy side of blues-rock, the band are now moving to Mighty Music and finally getting the recognition they deserve. there is
Scars To Remember is the tenth album by the Danish-based blues power trio. Its style has its roots in his late 60’s to his 70’s, taking inspiration from bands/artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Frank Marino & Mahogany. Rush, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, etc.
Formed over 20 years ago and playing countless shows in that time, Blindstone’s sound made them a big hit in the US, releasing most of their albums on the US label Grooveyard Records.
Despite the long run, the band reached a career turning point in 2020 when they were hired to back blues legend Walter Trout with a string of successful concerts across Denmark. This experience was a factor that inspired the band to explore a more direct and basic stylistic approach on the new album. The blues influence is especially noticeable on songs like “Down For The Count,” “Waste Your Time,” and “World Weary Blues.”
Blindstone’s influence has always been strong, with “Scars to Remember” drawing influences from Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower, Trout, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Gales and Jeff Healy. Included as an obvious hint.
As usual with Blindstone, Andersen’s guitar work is the focus, as is the band’s tight ensemble playing, for example the instrumental ‘The Fields Of Bethel’ comes to mind, but the band’s lyrical world. brings a new level of seriousness and depth to the band with a new collaboration with Swedish lyricist Peter Svensson, who contributed lyrics to much of the album.
Due to the great concerns of recent years, such as the global pandemic and the war in Europe, “A Scar To Remember,” “Drums Of War,” and “Drift Away.” No cars, $1 silver coins, etc.
“Scars To Remember” is a strong entry in Blindstone’s extensive discography and should appeal to fans of the band’s previous releases, the aforementioned artists, and fans of heavy blues-based rock in general.
“Scars To Remember” will be released in CD and digital formats by Mighty Music on August 11, 2023.
