The current Savings Country Music Artist of the Year is also bidding for 2023 as one of the hardest working performers of the year. Far from resting on his laurels now that he’s reached arena levels in multiple markets, Billy Strings continues to pedal by releasing a slew of new tour dates heading into December.
Most of the dates he plays are already sold out and are so popular that he has to play multiple dates in certain markets just to meet demand. West Coast, Midwest in late October, and Northeast and Rust Belt in December.
Billy Strings will play in Holland, England, France, Denmark, Belgium and Luxembourg throughout November before returning home.
Billy Strings reached this level not by selling out, but in many ways by doubling down on his bluegrass roots, including his latest album. me / and / dad It consists of traditional country and bluegrass songs recorded with his father.
However, Billy’s fascination in the jam band realm carved out an entirely different audience for bluegrass music. With his fandom following him across the country to see him perform, there was definitely a Grateful Dead side to him that helped strengthen his audience. Ultimately, though, this is bluegrass, the basic building block to true country music, and the arena finding his level of appeal.
