A fan has unearthed an overlooked final interview with Kentaro Miura, the manga artist/writer who inspired FromSoftware’s modern game.
Last year, in 2022, a large-scale Berserk manga exhibition tour was held across Japan. It was intended to feature an exclusive pre-recorded interview with Mr. Kentaro Miura. To date, the interview has never appeared online or in any other form of media.
However, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc’s film trilogy has now been re-released in Japan in Blu-ray format, and the collection quietly includes Miura’s original interview for the Berserk exhibition. You can see a short snippet of the interview just below. Miura struggles to hold back his laughter.

This interview with Miura was recorded in 2020, less than a year before his sad death in May 2021. Given that Miura rarely gave interviews throughout his career, fans consider this the last of his Berserk creators. interview.

Fans of Final Fantasy 14 held an all-night rally in-game to pay tribute to Mr. Miura. and his colleagues, all spearheaded by his best friend Koji Mori.
