Members of acclaimed Alabama singer-songwriter Jason Isbell’s band are taking a vacation to thank Isbell for his “grace and leeway” to deal with “old-fashioned trauma.”
The 400 Unit bassist Jimbo Hart sent fans a tweet on Sunday morning: He’s taking some time to take care of his mental health and work through old traumas,” he wrote. “@jasonisbell, thanks for the grace and space to allow this process.”
Hart, who hails from Muscle Shoals, said in a follow-up tweet, “So happy to be back with you guys as who I really am.” I can’t wait to rock out with you guys again!!!”
The message was flooded with supportive replies. “Jimbo I love you my brother,” Isbell wrote. “We conquer the fort and celebrate your return.”
According to Isbell’s website, the tour dates begin June 15 in Arkansas. On June 23rd and 24th, Isbell will play a sold-out show at Birmingham’s Avondale Brewing Company.
