Asking Alexandria have released ‘Dark Void’, the first preview of music from their yet-to-be-titled full-length studio album due out this fall on Better Noise Music.
Now available digitally here, Dark Void returns to the band’s anthemic stadium rock sound and metalcore roots, presenting contrasting themes of depression and everyday life’s aspirations in the modern world. are seamlessly integrated. Check out the music video below.
“In a world that seems to be getting darker and darker, it’s easy to see why so many of us are battling anxiety, depression and loneliness,” says guitarist Ben Bruce. “This song is about fighting the demons inside your head and trying your best to be your own savior. Finding the inner strength to come out of the darkness.”
“This theme will be explored throughout our upcoming album. We all have our own struggles and hurdles. But we all have an inner strength to turn to, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and I think it’s comforting to know that we’re not alone. We all get a little bit down at times, we all get a little lost at times, but somehow we’re all in this situation together in one way or another, so our I hope the new album can help people get through the toughest times.”
Askung Alexandria has just been performed at some of rock’s top festivals worldwide, including Download Festival (UK), Hellfest (France), Grasspop (UK) and Aftershock (USA). He continues to tour around the world. They spent the summer touring around Europe before heading to the mainland United States in July to perform at Rock Fest (July 14, Wisconsin), Incarnation Festival (July 15, Ohio), and… They’ll be playing three festivals at Louder Than Life (July 21, Kentucky).
