U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador, William H. Duncan, gave a radio interview on YSKL radio station, discussing immigration issues, visas, the end of Title 42, and more.
The diplomat stressed that with the end of Title 42, migrants who have been arrested at the U.S. border and have not applied for asylum at one of the 100 processing centers may be deported and face criminal charges. Additionally, they will be put on file and will be ineligible to apply for asylum for 10 years.
Duncan called on Salvadorans not to be fooled by traffickers and unscrupulous people who charge extra fees for visa procedures. He also mentioned employment opportunities in the Temporary Work Visa Program (H-2), a great opportunity for citizens to legally work in the United States.
