Los Angeles-born heavy metal icons ALCATRAZZ unleash their blazing new single “Battlelines” today. This track from the band’s new studio, due out on May 19th on Silver Lining Music, from his album Take No Prisoners, features ALCATRAZZ delivering epic heavy metal his anthems, metallic chugging his riffs, soaring It is full of melodic vocals and ear-splitting drums. .
“’Battlelines’ is one of the songs that I feel is very representative of where the band is currently and where we are going. It’s melodic metal,” enthuses ALCATRAZZ’s keyboardist and collaborator. -Founding member Jimmy Wald. “In the mid-1980s, ALCATRAZZ strayed far from the direction of their debut album. That first record set the blueprint for what the band was all about. Their two most recent albums in recent years have done even more so. So with this new Take No Prisoners, the band’s true sound is finally established, and I think the fans will find a lot to love when they listen to it!”
“We are looking forward to adding Battlelines to our live set,” adds co-founder and bassist Gary Shea. “It’s about the use of radar in warfare from World War II to the present day. Real heads-down heavy metal!”
ALCATRAZZ are determined to make up for lost time and move forward with a warp factor of 10 to release Take No Prisoners, their third and sixth studio album in three years. Take No Prisoners comprises 10 cracking and charismatic tracks containing a unique blend of classic American rock and the full-grain hard rock attitude of British Heavy Metal, with ALCATRAZZ soaring energetically and riffing Road Warrior. I’m looking for a melodic progression. “Little Viper” unleashes a thunderous, Dio-like assault on scythe guitars, and the band also show a softer, more expansive side on the epic “Strangers.” Ending with a burnt-out moment of , , , there is no doubt that ALCATRAZZ’s Collective Boots are kicking some serious ass repeatedly.
Comprised of Doogie White (vocals), Joe Stump (guitar), Jimmy Waldo (keyboards), Gary Shea (bass) and Larry Paterson (drums), Produced by Giles Lavery and Waldo, Take No Prisoners loudly and proudly ALCATRAZZ. A classic rock album that captures the technically proficient screaming guitars, thunderous rhythms, vocals and overall aura that evoke Prime Dio and Rainbow in the tradition of . And, of course, the primed and perfectly tuned ALCATRAZZ, which is rapidly taking over Benjamin Button’s proportions.
