ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A search is underway for a murder suspect who police say is armed and dangerous.
Police are searching for Julius Falello, 20, for allegedly shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend on Sunday morning.
The incident occurred at a North Valley residence near 4 NW San Clemente Avenue.
Police said officers were called to the home around 7:30 a.m. because Falero was holding his ex-girlfriend against her will.
Arriving officers said they heard gunshots and started backing up before entering the house. When police entered, they found a woman shot. She was confirmed dead on the spot.
Falero fled the scene on foot. Police said the man was last seen near Second Avenue and Griegos.
“He recently had a valid felony warrant for a violent crime that probably occurred at his place of work,” said APD spokesman Gilbert Gallegos. “He shot people several times.”
If you have information about Falero, please call 505-242-COPS.
