AJ Croce, son of the late singer-songwriter Jim Claus, confirmed tour dates for his Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary Tour. The 17-city fall trek will see AJ perform songs from his father’s 1973 album life and times and I Got A Name As from Croce’s landmark 1972 LP, you don’t mess with the gym.
Jim Claus died tragically in a plane crash on September 30, 1973 at the age of 30. His track, which would later become his last album titled I Got A Name, was released the day after his death, and the LP arrives two months later. AJ celebrates both his father’s 1973 albums. I Got A Name and life and times — the latter includes the beloved “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown” — on the upcoming Croce Plays Croce 50th Anniversary Tour.
The fall excursion begins October 27 in Springfield, Massachusetts, prior to the show in Boston. October 30, Red, New Jersey See his AJ at his bank before heading back to Pennsylvania, the Croce family’s hometown, for a concert in Reading on November 1.
After a dip in Virginia Beach, Croce will head back to the Northwest with a show in New York City on November 4th. Additional Pennsylvania concerts include Glenside and Manhole, split at Swing on November 7 in Rochester, NY.
AJ will be held in the Detroit area on November 12th, followed by Des Moines, Iowa and Minneapolis in the Midwest. Following his four nights at Frodia, Jacksonville, Ft. He will play concerts in Lauderdale, Clearwater and Melbourne before wrapping up the tour on November 29th.
