(CNN) An Olivet College baseball player was shot dead Friday night after a game at Muskingham College in Ohio, officials said.
Michele McAuley, a spokesman for Olivet in Michigan, said the player was taken to hospital and is in a non-life-threatening condition.

Muskingham College is located in New Concord, about 70 miles east of Columbus.
The shooting occurred at Morse Morehead Field around 7pm local time after Olivet beat Muskingham. Olivet said one of the players returned to the dugout to get his personal belongings when “an incident involving an unknown individual with a firearm occurred”.
No Muskingham faculty, staff or students were injured, according to a warning posted on the Muskingham University website.
Olivet College Athletics Tweet Teams will not play games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Ohio.
“The team is safe in the hotel together and is in contact with their parents,” McCauley told CNN.
Muskingham said in an alert that all athletic events for this weekend have been cancelled.
