On June 9th, Janelle Monae’s new album, The Age of Pleasure, will be available for purchase from Wondaland Arts Society/Atlantic. A promotional tour for the new album will take the artist across the North American continent in late summer and fall. The series of shows runs from the end of August to mid-October.
Tickets will go on general sale for the first time on Wednesday, June 7th at 10am local time.
The Age of Pleasure’s first single, ‘Float’, which also features Seun Kuti and Egypt 80, was released on Monae in February. And when it was revealed that the album would be released in May, she debuted the second track, “Lipstick Lover,” with a video dangerous for her job. The song “Lipstick Lover” was selected as “Song of the Week”.
It’s been five years since Monae released her latest album, Dirty Computer, in 2018. But since then, she’s kept her busy with her work as an actress, including a role she plays in the Netflix movie Glass Onion: A. 2022 wilderness action mystery.
Tickets for Janelle Monáe’s Fall Tour will be available on Ticketmaster starting June 7 at 10am.
