I Can Hear You Now 2020 was a big start for Ken. It’s an album of unapologetic faith. Ken spent three years in a wheelchair in excruciating pain due to terminal neurological disease. The illness was the main reason he had to leave the Burning Sage Band. He continued to write even though his fingers were crippled. On the computer, he could type lyrics with one finger and write melodies with single notes. Long conversations with God in the middle of the night on sleepless nights have resulted in numerous songs of faith, and Ken truly believes in his miraculous recovery from his illness. It took him a year to walk again, relearn his musical talents, and reassess his creative priorities. Almost twenty years later, he decided to record a hymn he had written during his illness as a thank-you to God for saving him. The songs on this album range from non-traditional personal reflections, to simply produced songs that can be sung by a hymn band, to large hymn choral pieces. Ken hopes that listeners on earth enjoy it as much as they do in heaven.
