Taylor Swift officially announced eight tour dates in Latin America on Friday, both on Instagram and Twitter, as part of her sold-out Ellas tour at the start of her international journey.
The Grammy Award-winning star, 33, was recently spotted stopping by New York City’s Electric Lady Studios between concerts, and promised to add “many more” international dates “soon”.
In the post’s caption, the Blank Space hitmaker revealed that he’ll be making stops in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil from August through November this year.
Fellow singer Sabrina Carpenter will open the show in Latin America. “This year we are bringing you The Eras Tour! Sweet Angel Princess @sabrinacarpenter will be on every show!
Swift concludes by saying, “For registration, pre-sale and on-sale details, please visit taylorswift.com/tour,” adding, “More international dates coming soon, promise! ’ he teased.
The Eras tour kicked off a few months ago in March and is set to finish on August 9th in Los Angeles. Later that month, Taylor will head to Mexico City, before stopping in Argentina and Brazil in November.
The US trek drew a large crowd and celebrities including Miles Teller, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Lawrence, Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes.
In addition to performing in other cities around the world, the blonde beauty also celebrated the release of her deluxe album Midnights (Til Dawn Edition) on Friday, May 26th.
A new version of the song “Karma” featuring rapper Ice Spice was added, and “Snow on the Beach” was also updated with additional vocals from Lana Del Rey. A new song “You’re Losing Me” is also included on the deluxe LP.
To the surprise of fans, Taylor brought Ice Spice on stage to share Karma with her during her weekend stay in New Jersey. Other guests on stage included Marcus Mumford and Jack Antonoff.
In addition to her deluxe album ‘Midnight’, the Love Story songstress revealed last May that she will also be re-releasing her 2010 album ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ on July 7th.
According to People magazine, the updated version will feature a total of 22 songs, including six new songs “from vault.”
At the time of the announcement, she wrote on Instagram, “I am so proud and overjoyed to announce that my version of ‘Speak Now’ will be released on July 7th (perfect for July 9th, iykyk ),” he wrote. I was 18 and she was 20 when I wrote my first fully self-written Speak Now.
She added, “The songs that came out of this period in my life were characterized by brutal honesty, unfiltered diary confession and wild wistfulness.”
“I love this album because it tells the story of growing up, flapping, flying, crashing…and living to tell it. We can’t wait to celebrate Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) with you all, with six additional songs…”
Amidst his busy schedule, Taylor was recently reported to be in a relationship with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.
The two were first rumored to be dating in May, a month after their split from actor Joe Alwyn came to light in April, but the former couple reportedly broke up in February.
The British-born singer was seen supporting the winners at several concerts in Nashville and was spotted accompanying Swift to a New York music studio. Notably, Taylor is already working on her next album.
In late May, The Sun reported that Matty was preparing to move in with the anti-hero singer just weeks after their romance heated up.
A source told the magazine: “He and Taylor are very much in love and want to spend as much time together as possible.” Matty has already told the 1975 team that he intends to do all band demos in America for the time being.
“While she’s on tour, he intends to work on parts for collaborations and plans to attend some shows to gather inspiration for his next album,” the insider added.
A Forbes report on Thursday revealed that Taylor has a net worth of $740 million, surpassing Madonna and Beyonce as the second richest self-made woman in the music industry.
The singer-songwriter also ranked 34th on America’s richest women list.
