Yorta Yorta artist Scott Darlow has tapped The Jezabel frontwoman and solo artist Hayley Mary for new song ‘Deadly Heart’. The song is the title track from Darlow’s upcoming album, which will be released on Friday 27 October.
Alongside this news, Darlow has announced a series of tour dates through the winter through October, beginning with a show at Treaty Day Out on Saturday, June 3rd, followed by a corner performance in Richmond on Saturday, October 28th. Finish at the hotel.
Scott Darlow & Hayley Mary: “Deadly Heart”
“deadly heart This is what I tried to write parallel and horizontal at the same time,” Darlow recalled in a statement. “On the one hand, it’s also about a couple just trying to stay together. But it’s also about a nation trying to come together. I wrote about continuing to listen to: sit down and listen to each other and let it be our story.”
Darlow also said he was simply “trying to be the best version of myself that I can be every day.” “I want to wake up every day and make a difference for Aboriginal people in everything I do,” says Darlow.
“It may sound cliche, but it’s the truth. What can I do next week to make a difference? If you can, that’s what it means to me.”
‘Deadly Heart’ follows Darlow’s 2016 album ‘Sorry’ and marks his first release on Reclusive Records, the label founded by the late Michael Gudinsky.
