Change to African Heat
The new version of African Heat will focus on exposure to the African community of creators and listeners. To express the image of Playlist as a vehicle, the Playlist rebrand drew its direction from public transport across Africa. Especially iconic vehicles such as Toro Toro, Danfo and Matu.
The playlist further evokes images of vehicles and takes on new visual identities. Plans are underway to update the familiar cover as well. The playlist name design features borders inspired by registration numbers, speedometer dials, and gradients that reflect heat in different shapes.
The campaign will feature voices and conversations with African artists, as well as live elements to bring the new African Heat to life and captivate listeners.
