Like today, the two pulled off that tease. TEG Van Egmond And Matchbox Twenty may announce a massive 10-day Australian tour.
The band will kick off their Australian tour on Tuesday 13th February in Perth before heading to Adelaide, Melbourne, Yarra Valley, Wollongong, Sydney, Canberra, Newcastle, Gold Coast and Brisbane.

Matchbox Twenty’s upcoming Australian tour will be accompanied by their first album in over a decade. Destination of light, the band promised through a press release that it would be “another great batch of great songs that are authentic, relevant, and relatable.” You can pre-order the album here.
“We are thrilled to announce that Matchbox Twenty will be heading to Australia to entertain audiences in February.” Christ Van Egmondsaid the managing director of TEG VAN EGMOND in a statement. “Australia is the second best selling market for bands! Hearing two great bands perform live classics will bring back so many fond memories.
“From the mid-90s to the 2000s, few artists have dominated the modern music scene in this country more than Matchbox Twenty, and the same goes for the Goo Goo Dolls.A night of magic is guaranteed. ”
Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas added: It’s always nice to dance with my date, and Matchbox Twenty is my date.
“It’s been such an honor to play on stage with guys I’ve been in bands with for decades and I don’t take it for granted, especially these days. It follows Twenty’s massive 50+ day US tour, so we’re definitely fit for the game and you’re ready to kick your socks off. I’m already looking forward to February!”
