A British TV host has claimed that Donald Trump said after an interview that he was “going to win” news legend Barbara Walters.
Former BBC presenter Selina Scott wrote for The Times about an exchange she had with President Trump on a plane from New York to Miami, Florida, in the 1990s.

Trump himself paid tribute to Walters after her death, calling her “by far the greatest of them all.”

Scott added that in 1995, when British broadcaster ITV aired a 60-minute documentary about him, Scott asked him questions about his company’s financial structure.
Scott wrote that Trump made conflicting statements about ownership of the Empire State Building during two interviews.
In one interview, he reportedly told Scott he owned 100 percent, but in a subsequent interview she reportedly claimed Trump said he owned 40 percent.
She said President Trump’s reaction was one of anger when both statements were broadcast in the documentary.
Scott said the show was not rerun because lawyers “put a horrible person on it” when ITV was preparing to sell the show to NBC in the United States. .
