The 55-year-old recently shared the real reason behind his decision to start his podcast. Ultimately it was a huge success and landed a big deal with Spotify, but the idea took a lot of effort.
It turns out that a very famous person inspired the UFC commentator. In the #1982 episode of his podcast, he said quite a few people were doing podcasts when he decided to start one for himself. But one of his main reasons was his love of radio.

The 55-year-old was ahead of his time when he started the JRE podcast. Logan said, “I think the radio got me interested in this world. It’s like the Opie and Anthony show.”
He said he was doing the “Opie and Anthony” show and had a lot of fun talking about whatever he liked while reading the comics. But when I leave the studio, I miss being around those people. Mr Logan added: “When I left there, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s so much fun.’ I love doing that. I wish I could do that all the time.”
A prominent radio personality inspired the idea for Logan’s podcast
Anthony Cumia Taking inspiration from the “Opie and Anthony” show, Joe Rogan created his own podcast. That happened when I saw the setup Kumia made for himself in his home. Logan said, “Anthony Cumia…he built a studio in the basement of his home on Long Island.” he added “He used to do a show called ‘Live From The Compound’ and there was like a green screen behind him. He had a machine gun and did karaoke. [and] He was hit all the time. ”
Joe Rogan liked the way Kumia set up the show and decided to try his luck. “He was just streaming it over the internet and I was like, ‘This looks like a lot of fun.’ Maybe that’s the way to start.” said a 55-year-old man.

So Logan turned to a Canadian-American comedian for help. Tom Green, He set up his home like a television studio. He said, “I thought maybe I should do something like that. I’m doing something on the Internet.” Joe Rogan wasn’t sure people would want to see his show, but he went ahead to enjoy it. “There may be many people who don’t go see it, but it’s fun.”

Joe Rogan started the podcast in 2009 and since then JRE has become the largest podcast with millions of listeners and viewers per episode. His episodes are nearing 2000 and his show worth makes him over $200 million. Despite criticism from celebrities, “JRE” maintained high ratings. Also, getting into Spotify’s “Top His Podcasts” list is no easy feat. Logan isn’t likely to slow down anytime soon. What do you think?
