In memory of fallen Deputy Deputy Katie Leshing
The lieutenant governor of St. Croix County was shot dead over the weekend, leaving behind his wife and young son, 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS reports.
On Tuesday afternoon, officials announced that Deputy Prime Minister Katie Reissing’s public visit and funeral would take place on Friday. The visit will take place at Hudson High School on Friday from 9am-noon, followed by a funeral service.

Leising, 29, was responding to reports of a driver driving in a ditch near Glenwood, Wisconsin.
Investigators say she asked a driver named Jeremiah Johnson, 34, from Minnesota, to take a breathalyzer test.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the only way people can donate right now is to deliver a check to “Benefit of Deputy Leising” at a branch of the West Consyn Credit Union or the Sheriff’s Office.
Instead of flowers for the memorial service, bereaved families are asking for donations to the National Law Enforcement Memorial.
