Two Cuban migrants landed at Key West International Airport on an electric hang glider on Saturday morning, officials said.
They were detained by U.S. Border Patrol after they landed around 10:30 am. A deputy is stationed at the airport, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said no serious injuries were reported.

Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Adam Linhardt told ABC News, “Immigrants from Cuba arrive in all manner of ways, usually on makeshift, hand-built boats.” It’s not an event, but it’s not at all uncommon.”
Key West local and self-proclaimed aviation enthusiast Chris Ferrara told ABC News that he heard the distinctive sound of a hang-glider engine hovering overhead while driving a golf cart nearby.
“I looked up and knew it shouldn’t have been there,” Ferrara said.
