Hennicer, NH – A 15-year-old Boston boy died in a skiing accident last weekend at Patts Peak Ski Area in Hennicer, NH.
General Manager Chris Bromback said the incident occurred around 6:35 p.m. Saturday at Duster Ski Trail.
A ski patrol took the teen to the base area where an ambulance was waiting for him. He was taken to Concord Hospital, where he died.
His name has not been released, but East Boston’s Excel Academy Charter School identified him as one of its students, Christopher Diprima, on Sunday.
“Excel Academy mourns our student Christopher DiPrima who died in a skiing accident this weekend. “He has brought joy to all. He will truly be missed,” the school said in a statement on Facebook.
“Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. Staff at Pattspeak are saddened by last night’s incident and an investigation is ongoing,” Blomback said in a statement Sunday.
Patt’s Peak has suspended daily operations for now, the ski resort said on its Facebook page.
